Larry Wayne Martin

Larry Wayne Martin, 84, of Davidson County, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, Wednesday evening, August 13, 2025, at his home.

There are no formal services at this time.

Larry was born on November 24, 1940, in Davidson County, to the late Harvey Houston Martin and Gladys Younts Martin.

Upon graduating from high school, he served his country proudly in the United States Navy, making sacrifices to preserve freedom and the American way of life. He later went on to work for Mallory Battery for a number of years and made many friends along the way, who remembered his strong work ethic and willingness to always go the extra mile.

An avid outdoorsman, Larry found immense joy in nature. He would spend hours outside, tending to his flowers, doing yardwork, and enjoying the satisfaction of hard work. Along with keeping a manicured yard, he spent a great amount of time hunting and fishing, which were two of his most loved past times.

Along with his parents and a sister, Barbara Jean Welch, he is reunited with the love of his life, Diann Martin, his steadfast companion through every season of life, and now, forevermore in eternity.

His legacy will live on through his daughter, Kimberly Lewis (Graham), of Lexington; sons, Michael Martin (Paula), of Lexington, and Jeffrey Martin, of Lexington; two sisters, Wanda Lambeth (Max), of Trinity, and Cindy Nicula (Jim), of Ohio; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
