Larry Wayne Mccullough

Larry Wayne McCullough, age 69 of Lexington passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 12, 2019.

A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, February 15, 2019 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Military Honors by Davidson County Honor Guard and United States Marine Corps. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday.

Larry was born in Rowan County July 21, 1949 to Ernest Eugene McCullough and Pauline Fortner McCullough. He was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He was self-employed in Carpet and Tile Installation and for many years has worked for J & J Carpet. He was a hard worker and dedicated to make sure the job was correct, an avid hunter and loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Patricia McCullough.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Peggy Wofford McCullough of the home; daughters, DeeDee McCullough Lanier (Cory) of Lexington and Natalie McCullough Jeffcoat (Arron) of Camden, SC; son, Josh McCullough (Jennifer) of Lexington; grandchildren, Lauren Jeffcoat , Blake Jeffcoat, Zachary Baker, Keegan McCullough, Kash McCullough and Carter Lanier; sister, Carol Gobble (Jimmy) of Lexington; brothers, Jerry McCullough of Advance and Ronnie McCullough (Sandy) of Lexington and several nieces and nephews.
