Larry Dean Melton

Larry Dean Melton, 73, of Riverview Road, Lexington, died Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.   A funeral service will be held 5:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Medford officiating services.   The family will receive friends from 3:30 pm to 4:30 Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, prior to the service.   Mr. Melton was born July 31, 1945 in Guilford County to Stephen Melton and Dot Turner Melton. He was a member of the National Rifle Assocition. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gordon Melton.   Surviving is his wife, Gracie Marie Lambeth Melton, of the home; three sons, Stephen Melton of Lexington, Matthew Melton and wife Tammy, of Thomasville, and James Carter of Wilmington; one daughter, Crystal Carter of Oak Island; three grandchildren, Jandalyn, Liz and Jake; and one great-grandchild, Laylen.   Memorials may be made to the Patriot Rovers, 8001 Clinard Farms Road, High Point, NC 27265.
