It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Wayne Myers, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world on Friday, March 28th, 2025. Born on Monday, April 3rd, 1950, Larry was a long-time resident of Lexington, North Carolina, where he was known for his warm heart and steadfast dedication to those he loved.
A devoted truck driver by profession, Larry traversed countless miles over his career, both on the road and in the lives of those he touched. His journeys were not just physical but also filled with the connections and friendships he built along the way.
Larry is survived by his loving brothers: Carl Myers and his wife, Irene, of Linwood; Donnie Myers, T.W. Myers, and Dwight Myers with his wife, Marcie, all of Southmont; and Ricky Myers and his wife, Alison, of Lexington. He also leaves behind his beloved sister, Margie "Penny" Myers of Welcome, along with several nieces and nephews who brought immense joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Cleveland Myers and Mattie Pauline Helper Myers, and his dear sister, Betty Green. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
A Funeral Service to honor Larry's life will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025 at 2PM, at the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, the family will receive friends from 1-2PM prior to the service. The service, officiated by Jimmy Truell and Doug McGee, will serve as a testament to the love and memories he shared with those around him. Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, providing an opportunity to reflect and share cherished memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry's honor to a charity of the donor's choice, a gesture that reflects the generosity Larry showed throughout his life.
The arrangements for Mr. Myers have been thoughtfully conducted by Davidson Funeral Home, ensuring that his final journey is as dignified and loving as the life he led. Larry Wayne Myers will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those he touched.
