Larry Sipes

Larry Stephen Sipes, 72, of Lexington passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

A funeral Service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023, in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Doug McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Jersey Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 2 pm until 3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Sipes was born in Guilford County on May 3, 1950, to Edgar Loyd Sipes and Exie Fox Sipes. He was a lifetime farmer, having worked for Lovlee Farms in Linwood and was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Sipes; a daughter, Daisy Lynn Sipes; and four brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Patricia Noone Sipes; his daughter, Paula Sipes Rouse (Frank Jr. “FL”); his stepchildren, Vincent Shaeffer, Barbara Pickett, and Heidi Molleur; a brother, Charlie Sipes (Brenda); three sisters, Jessie Beckham (Roy), Helen Hensley (Emory “Cotton”), and Linda Misenheimer; three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and his dear friend, Sterling Garner.
