Larry Bryce Smith (Bass), 73, died peacefully, Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Hinkle Hospice House. He was surrounded by loved ones as he made his way to Heaven.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Reeds Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Barry Queen and Mr. Harry Mock. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home
Larry was born in Davidson County to Ernest Smith and Kathleen Burkhart Smith. He loved to be around his family and spending time laughing and socializing with friends. He restored many antique cars, and love to collect Ford tractors and restore them. He was a member of Piedmont Antique Power Association. At his church he was assistant superintendent and served on many church committees. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Barefoot; and a nephew, Jason Barefoot.
Surviving are his wife of almost 50 years Brenda Bailey Smith of the home; a daughter, Amy Miller and husband Brad; two grandchildren, Cadie and Cody Miller, all of Lexington.
