Larry Spainhour

Larry William Spainhour, 70, of Helmstetler Rd. Lexington passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Hinkle Hospice House.   A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, February 10, 2017 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gavin Pratt officiating.  Burial will follow.   The family will receive friends at the grave site after the service and other times at the home of Kristy Dunn.   Mr. Spainhour was born June 30, 1946 in Forsyth County to Lester William Spainhour and Velna Irene Jessup Spainhour. He was a retired Mechanic and a member of Manna Baptist Church.  Preceding him in death was his wife, Hazel Hypes Spainhour, December 4, 2016.   Surviving are a son, Larry Wayne Spainhour of Lexington;  three daughters, Kristy Dunn (Steven), of Lexington, Tammy Spainhour and Michelle Spainhour; two step-sons, Jerry Hutchins of Mocksville and Jamie Hypes of Ohio; several grandchildren, one great grandchild; a brother, Tommy Spainhour (Margo) of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Della Roberts of Winston-Salem and Betty Webb of Clemmons.   Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292
