Larry Westbrook

Larry Westbrook, 59 of Hill Street died at 1:03 am Saturday, December 27, 2008 at High Point Regional Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Howard G. Baker officiating. Mr. Westbrook was born on October 16, 1949 in Dinwiddee County, Virginia to Joseph Hugh Westbrook and Elsie Marian Thomas Westbrook. He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and formerly worked at Ray’s Repair Service. Mr. Westbrook served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife Theresa Fritts Westbrook of the home; son Joseph Westbrook and fiancé Tiffany of Lexington; daughter Sandi Westbrook of Lexington; two grandchildren William Westbrook and Hayley Tanner; brothers Carroll Westbrook of Parisburg, VA, Daniel Westbrook and wife Mary Ann of Lexington and Doug Westbrook and wife Martha of Denton; sisters Rose Powell, Wilma Michael & husband David, Heidi Jones, Myrtle Crepps , Margaret Morrow and husband Ike, all of Lexington and Elizabeth Gains and husband Kevin of Spencer. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am Wednesday at the church prior to the service and other times at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family at 256 Hill Street, Lexington, NC 27295.
