Larue Leonard Cline

Judy LaRue Leonard Cline, 89, of Ridge Road, passed away Wednesday May 29, 2024 at her home.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday June 1, 2024 at Pilgrim Reformed, where she was a member, with Rev. Richard Moore officiating services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Mrs. Cline was born February 17, 1935 in Davidson County to Arthur Moton Leonard and Verdie Thomas Leonard. LaRue graduated from North Davidson High School and received her teaching degree from High Point College and her Masters in Education from UNC-G,  then she went on to work for the Davidson County School system and then retired after 30 years of teaching at Welcome Elementary School. At her church she was member of the Women’s Fellowship Club and a Teacher in the Primary Department. LaRue was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Robert Leon Cline; a great-grandson, Connor Billings; three brothers, Reyanauld Thomas Leonard, James Joel Leonard and William Carol Leonard

Surviving are her children, James Stephen Cline (Christine), Judy C. Billings (Bert), R. Dulagne Cline, and Robert L. Cline Jr. (Annette); her  brother, Wayne Leonard; her sister, Nancy Baker; grandchildren Catherine B. Morse (Jeff), Carl Robert Billings (Lisa), Ashley Cline Strong (Mark), James Cline Jr. (Tracie), T.J. Heath and Josh Heath (Bethany); great-grandchildren, Baylee, Julianna, Rachael Carman, Robert, and Frank Morse, Emmy and Lily Billings, and Colby Heath.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilgrim Reformed Church, 797 Pilgrim Church Road, Lexington NC 27292.
