Laura Frances Hartley Adams, age 61, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday October 13, in the Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro, N.C. after a period of declining health. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel, conducted by Rev. Tommy Hepler. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, and other times at the home of her father, 1870 Tall Pines Road, Lexington.
Laura was born in Davidson County, on October 20, 1950 to Onzo (George) Charles Hartley, and Viola Tysinger Hartley. Before Laura’s illness, she worked as a cashier, in the convenience store business. She was preceded in death by her Mother and a sister, Theresa (Bobbie) Davenport.
She is survived by; sons, Norman Brown (Kristie) of Mooresville, N.C. and Sam Brown of Winston-Salem, N.C.; daughter, Shannon Brown of Denton; her father, of Lexington; brothers, Charles David Hartley (LuAnn) of Welcome, and Terry Wonchese Hartley ( Angela) of Southmont; sisters, Carol Hubbard (James), Linda Ingram both of Welcome and Rita H. Brown of Lexington; grandchildren, Casandra (Cassy), Wesley, Laura, Taylor, and Lindsey.
