Laura Bryn Everhart

Laura Bryn Everhart, age 39, of Lexington, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at High Point Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, with Chaplain Chad Becker officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday evening, April 16, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home.

Laura was born on July 10, 1985, in Guilford County to Michael Slack and Vanessa Vernon Slack. She was a dedicated 911 operator for Davidson County and was honored as Employee of the Year in 2024 for her outstanding service and commitment to the community. Her calm presence and strong heart helped countless people through some of their most difficult moments.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Patty and Ken Vernon and special Aunt Connie, Maurice and Ann Slack.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Randy Everhart; stepson, Nathan Everhart (Anna); her precious grandson Marek Everhart; her mother, Vanessa Vernon Slack (boyfriend Tim Dougan); her father, Michael Slack (Leigh); her brother, Justin Slack (Lauren); nephews, Colton Slack and Turner Slack; Uncle Mark Vernon (Deanna) and numerous cousins.

The family wishes to give special recognition to the CCU staff at High Point Medical Center for the care they gave to Laura.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Breast Cancer Research Foundation of your choice.

To honor Laura’s memory and strength, the family kindly requests that all friends and family wear something pink.
