Laura Ann “Lib” Hedrick Brackett, 77, of Arrowhead Dr., Lexington passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 18, 2016 at Pilgrim Reformed Church with Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Beck’s Reformed Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mrs. Brackett was born December 12, 1938 in Davidson County to David R. Hedrick and Sylvia Irene Leonard Hedrick. She was owner/operator of Lib’s Beauty Shop and a member of Pilgrim Reformed Church. Lib enjoyed gardening, flowers, being outdoors and sharing with others. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, James Larry Brackett, and a brother, Rayvon Hedrick. Surviving are a son, John Ward of Lexington, three daughters, Shelly Brogdon, Kim Rayfield, Ann Speas (Henry Jr.), who is employed at Smileys BBQ, all of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Adam Plyler, Hannah Plyler, Drew Barnhill, Dalton Speas, Luke Brogdon, Daniel Ward, Jacob Ward, Zach Zaborowski and four great grandchildren, Wynter, Makayla, Braxton, Eli; three brothers, Leon Hedrick, David Hedrick (Shelby), Sam Hedrick all of Lexington and a sister, Loretta Owen (Tommy) of Lexington.
