Laura "Ann" Link

Laura “Ann” Walser Link, age 78 of Midway passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her home. A graveside will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will be at her home following the service. Ann was born in Rowan County on October 20, 1938 to Ira W. and Mary Alley Walser. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to many. She loved staying at the Driftwood in Myrtle Beach, watching NASCAR and Tarheel Basketball. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul and Hugh Walser and sisters, Marin Owens, Helen Coleman, Lillie Thomas and Claudia James. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Tange Link of Winston Salem; grandson, Daniel Link of Welcome; granddaughter, McKayla Link of Winston Salem; her former husband of 31 years, Dewey Link of North Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Joe Walser (Helen), Al Walser (Barbara) all of Salisbury and Wayne Walser (Vickie) of Linwood; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a special thanks to her care givers, Natalie Proctor, Priscilla Portilla and Hannah White and to Hospice of Davidson County. Memorial may be made to, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Wounded Warriors Project or Hospice of Davidson County.
