Laura Gandy Nifong

Laura Gandy Nifong, age 83 of King, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at her home. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, December 9th in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with entombment following in the Forest Hill Mausoleum. No visitation will be held. Laura was born on April 7, 1940, in Davidson County to Rufus Lesliee Gandy and Lucille Brown Gandy. She retired as office manager for Piedmont Animal Hospital. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Tilley; son, Kenneth Ray Nifong, and brothers, J. Lewis Brown (Jean), Roy Gandy, and granddaughter, Miranda Nifong. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sandra Kaye King; brothers, R. L. Gandy (Kaye), Harold Gandy (Treva); sister, Jeannie Tesh, sister-in-law, Dana Gandy; granddaughter, Jennifer Smith; great-granddaughters, Allaura and Mariah Barr, Chesney Smith and great-grandsons, Jake and Tyler Smith.
