Laura Conrad Turlington, 52, passed away on Thursday, October 2 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm Sunday, October 5 at First Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Matthew Miller. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of Mike and Paula Turlington, 102 Choctaw Dr, Lexington.
She was born March 5, 1973 in Davidson County to Lee Phillips Conrad, Sr and Pauletta Smith Conrad. She was a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Her passion for music led her to serve as music director at Becks Lutheran Church. Later, she dedicated over 15 years of her life to Davidson Medical Ministries, where her tireless efforts made a significant impact on the community. Her father, Lee Phillips Conard Sr. and her infant sister, Susan Conrad, preceded her in death.
Laura is survived by her beloved husband, Greg Turlington; her children, Seth and Ava Turlington, her mother, Pauletta Conrad; her brother, Lee Conrad, Jr. and wife, Lori; her father and mother-in-law, Mike and Paula Turlington; her brothers and sisters in law, Brian Turlington and wife, Jennifer, and Meg Holshouser and husband, Michael; and her nieces and nephews, Will Conrad, Grace Turlington, Emma Turlington; Kara Conrad, Max Holshouser and Cooper Holshouser.
Laura's legacy will be one of love, dedication, and the positive influence she had on those around her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
