The Service for Laurinda Brinson has been changed because of the weather to 2:00 PM Tuesday in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel.
Laurinda Sue Brinson, 67 of Thomasville, North Carolina, beloved wife and best friend of Pastor Carlton Brinson passed away Friday, February 12, 2016.
The family will receive guests at Davidson Funeral Home, 301 N. Main St., Lexington, NC on Sunday evening February 14 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and other times at the home in Thomasville. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Bill Perdue at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Interment at Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery
Laurinda was preceded in death by William Franklin Lanning (father), Lucille Lanning (mother) and William Franklin Lanning, Jr (brother). Laurinda was devoted to the Gospel of Christ and the ministry of New Day Church of High Point, where she was recently ordained. Her gift of ministry as a Seer Prophet includes many hours of prophetic journaling. She enjoyed painting, jewelry making and spending time with her grandchildren and her sweet little pet, Roxy. She also illustrated two published children’s books – Adventures of Cluck-a-Mary Hen by Darla Ayres Wollam and Jacobs House Coloring Book by Michelle McCaleb.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Pastor Carl Brinson, her son, Alan Shoaf (Loretta) of Mount Airy, daughter, Lisa Thompson (Rick) of Mt. Pleasant, two stepsons, Carl Brinson (Rhett) of Charlotte, Alan Brinson (Jeff) of Oakland, CA, stepdaughter Laverne Moate of Monroe, GA and 8 grandchildren – Aaron, Gracie, Brett, Matthew, Christie, Kimberly, Brook and Joshua (deceased) also, Donald Ray Shoaf (Alan & Lisa’s father).
