Lavonne Huggins Polson

Lavonne Huggins Polson, 62, of Pheasant Drive in Lexington passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 13 ^th at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nick Atkins officiating.  Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park in Denton.

Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Lavonne was born in Durand, Michigan on November 26, 1956 to Rev. John Hardy Huggins, Sr. and Lena Virginia Twiddy Huggins.  She retired as a case worker for Cardinal Innovations and was a member of Victory Holiness Church of Lexington where she was a Sunday school teacher.  Lavonne was a God fearing woman here on Earth who has gone to be with her parents in God’s house.  She was a great caretaker for her family and will leave a void that can never be filled.  Fly high mom, we will see you again.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Charles Wayne Polson, of the home; son, Chris Polson of Lexington; daughter, Cheri Lynn Polson of Lexington; brother, John Hardy Huggins, Jr. of Lexington; sister, Leona Huggins Owens (Floyd) of Lexington; and two grandchildren, Arizona Paige Polson and Lillie Alex Polson.
