Lawrence Cletus Berrier

Lawrence Cletus Berrier 82 of Arcadia passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Arcadia United Methodist Church with Pastor Lynn Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Lawrence was born on July 2, 1933 to Charlie Ewell Berrier and Mae Elizabeth Berrier. He was a retired truck driver and served in the US Army, Korean War. He was a life time charter member of Arcadia VFW Post 10485, Post Commander – Quarter Master and served on the Board of Directors ARCH Fire Dept. He was of Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elvie, Vanita, Dorothey, Ruby and Rachel; brothers, John, Earley, Charlie Jr., Jacob all of Lexington area. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara “Bobbie” Scott Hartman Berrier; daughters, Elizabeth CharLynn Berrier Carter, Patricia Layne Berrier; one grandson, Michael Jay Carter and wife Katherine Williams Carter; great-grandson, Ryan Donavan Carter; great-granddaughter, Mary Katherine Carter; a brother, Alexander Berrier of Greensboro. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 and Arcadia United Methodist Church, 117 Boulevard Rd., Hwy 150, Clemmons, NC 27012.
