Lee Benfield

Mr. Lee Vern Benfield, age 86 of Graybrier Nursing Home, Trinity, NC died Saturday, April 23 at Graybrier Nursing Home after declining health. A funeral service will be 2 pm Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Younger II officiating. Burial will follow in Arrington Height Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Lee was born in Wilkes County, December 7, 1924, to James and Bertha Higgins Benfield. He retired from Globe Furniture and attended Allendale Baptist Church in High Point. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Smith; his son, Jerry Benfield; four brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Gwen Potter; five grandchildren, his sisters; Betty Pardue and husband, Pete, of High Point; and George Dillinger of Statesville Regards and prayers to the Jarvis family of Lexington, and Shirley Steele of High Point, and all that make up the family.
