Lee Davis

Liselotte “Lee” Davis, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

The family invites those who wish to attend to a reception following the service at Lot 63: Bakery, Coffeehouse, & Pub, 614 S Main St. Winston-Salem, NC 27107.

Lee was born on August 1, 1935, in Freiburg, Germany, to the late Reinhard Hohweiler and Augusta Gabelmann Hohweiler.

The simple moments were the most important to Lee, enjoying time with those close to her.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick, and five siblings.

Left to carry on her light are her daughters, Erika Cross, of the home, and Lorraine (Steve), of England; three brothers in Germany; one sister in England; four grandchildren, Kelly, Andrew, Rachel, and Michael; five great-grandchildren, Lydia, Jack, Ava, Millie, and Nancy; and one great-great-grandchild, Thomas.

Eine Gedenkfeier zu ihren Ehren findet am Samstag, den 7. Februar 2026, um 13:00 Uhr im Bestattungsinstitut Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, statt.

Die Familie lädt alle, die an der Feier teilnehmen möchten, anschließend zu einem Empfang im Lot 63: Bakery, Coffeehouse, & Pub, 614 S Main St., Winston-Salem, NC 27107, ein.

Lee wurde am 1. August 1935 in Freiburg, Deutschland, als Tochter der verstorbenen Reinhard Hohweiler und Augusta Gabelmann Hohweiler geboren.

Die einfachen Momente waren Lee am wichtigsten; sie genoss die Zeit mit ihren Lieben.

Neben ihren Eltern gingen ihr ihr geliebter Ehemann Frederick und fünf Geschwister im Tod voraus.

Sie hinterlässt ihre Töchter Erika Cross, die im selben Haus wohnt, und Lorraine (mit Ehemann Steve) in England; drei Brüder in Deutschland; eine Schwester in England; vier Enkelkinder: Kelly, Andrew, Rachel und Michael; fünf Urenkelkinder: Lydia, Jack, Ava, Millie und Nancy; sowie ein Ururenkelkind: Thomas.
