Lena Kepley Moore

Lena Kepley Moore, age 97 of Hedrick Mill Road, Lexington passed away Friday (12-12-2008) in Lexington Health Care. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Monday at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Allan Van Meter officiating.   Mrs. Moore was born in Davidson County, April 30, 1911 to John P. Kepley and Carrie Bell Young Kepley.  She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David Michael Moore in 1964, one son Joe Moore, four sisters, Jeanie Foust, Ruth Easter, Velma Hedrick and Bertie Hedrick.   Surviving are: one son, Jerry Moore, Sr. of Lexington; three grandchildren, Jerry (Michael) Moore, Jr. and wife Staci, Bridgett Chaffin and husband Jason and Shannon Moore and Brandi all of Lexington and 7 great-grandchildren.   The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Sunday night at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home.   Memorials should be directed to Bethany United Methodist Church, 193 Bethany Road, Lexington, NC  27292   Arrangements by Davidson Funeral Home Lexington.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
