Lena Craver Myers

November 23, 1918 — January 15, 2011

Mrs. Lena Craver Myers, 92, of Tall Pines Road, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 after declining health. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 18 at Bethesda United Methodist Church, by Rev. Dennis Marshall and Rev. Ervin Houser. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel. Mrs. Myers was born November 23, 1918 to Olin Mathew Craver and Irma Roberta Crews Craver. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, W. Ray Myers, February 14, 1993. her brother; J. L. Craver, her sisters; Margaret Craver Motsinger and husband Connie, Lois Craver Jarvis Mahala and husband George Mahala, Betty Craver Stephens and husband Marvin, Patti Craver Laws, her brother inlaws; Robert Earley and Tony Berrier, Lloyd McNeill. She is survived by her sons, Larry Myers, and wife, Mary Alice, and Mike Myers, and wife, Brenda, both of Lexington; her sisters; Esther Craver McNeill, Ruby May Craver Hedrick Earley, Mildred Craver and husband Ralph, Virginia Craver Hill and husband Glenn, Peggy Craver Hill and husband Bruce, Charlotte Craver Berrier. Her four grandchildren; Lisa Myers Carter and husband Lyndon of Holden Beach, Amanda Truell and husband Alvin of Statesville, Lena Michaela Myers of Fayetteville, NC, Tiffany Myers Hutton and husband Craig of Augusta, GA and one great grandchildren; Emma McKenzie Carter. Memorials may be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church, 2922 Bethesda Road Lexington, NC 27295. A special thanks to Kay Motsinger and Pastor Dennis Marshall and loving family of Bethesda United Methodist Church. To all the kind ways of The Welcome Fire Dept. May God bless you all so much more.
