Leo Eugene Harper

Leo Eugene Harper, 78, of Dillon Street, Thomasville North Carolina, died Thursday March 20, 2014 at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington.  A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Wednesday at First Alliance Church, 1370 Arnold Road in Lexington with Rev. Paul Titus officiating services.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00pm Wednesday at the church. Mr. Harper was born March 8, 1936 in Sutton County West Virginia, to Roy Harper and Hattie Harper. He was a member of First Alliance Church and was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving is his wife Carole Stabler Harper of the home, three daughters; Jennifer Mckinney of Lexington, Robbin Ballard and husband Allan of West Africa, and Jill Garcia and husband Carlos of high Point, three sisters; Ellen Martin, Shirley Ramsey and Edith Sumpter all of Ohio and four grandchildren; Caroline Ballard, Evan Ballard, Maxwell Harper and Leslee Harper.
