Leon Hedrick

Leon Hedrick, 88, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. No formal services will be held at this time. Mr. Hedrick was born August 21, 1934, in Davidson County, to David R. Hedrick and Sylvia Irene Leonard Hedrick Greer. Leon served his country in the United States Air Force and as an MP in the National Guard. He had his own business, Southern Vinyl, for many years. In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by two brothers, his twin Rayvon Hedrick, and Leonard “Sam” Hedrick; and one sister, Laura “Lib” Brackett. Surviving is one son, Davie Leon Hedrick of Lexington; three daughters, Debbie Hedrick Everhart (David) of Lexington, Sabrina Ann Hedrick of Linwood, and Jackie Hedrick Helton (Artie) of Lexington; his longtime girlfriend, Angela Crotts of Lexington; one brother, David Hedrick (Shelby) of Lexington; one sister, Loretta Owen (Tommy) of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Smith Hedrick, Dara Mingus, Chad Everhart, Brandy Everhart, Anna Scott, Lucas Alley, and Landon Alley; and nine great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to donor’s choice.
