Leon Max Michael

Leon Max Michael, 74, of Carl Pressley Road, died suddenly May 12, 2014, at his home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the funeral home and other times at 1582 Yadkin College Road. Mr. Michael was born May 14, 1939, in Davidson County, to Raymond Michael and Alice Snyder Michael. He was retired from Bill Simerson Grading where he had been a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are sons, Lonnie Michael and wife Donna of Yadkin College and Tony Ray Michael and wife Lisa of Churchland; daughters, Tammy Tysinger and Paul Powers of Asheboro, Lisa Michael Gaddy and husband Jamon of Tyro, and Joni Rhoton and husband Kenny of Midway; the mother of his children, Jessie Livengood Michael of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Trey, Justin, Faith, Brandy, Dakota, Phoenix, Dylan, Alex and Diva; five great-grandchildren, Logan, Dalton, Nicolas, Cole, and Carson; and brother, Allen Ray Michael and wife Lillian of Reeds. A wonderful and loving father who will be greatly missed.
