Leona Mae Leonard

Leona Mae Leonard, 91, of Arrington Heights Drive, passed away Tuesday July10, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.   A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday July 14, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Doug McGee officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:30pm on Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home.   Mrs. Leonard was born April 23, 1927 in Davidson County to Homer Lee Leonard Sr. and Jennie Mae Everhart Leonard. She was a member of Arrington Heights Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Leonard was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charlie Gilmer Leonard and 7 brothers.   Surviving are 3 sons; Wayne Leonard,Buddy Leonard and Jimmy Leonard, all of Lexington; 1 sister, Carolyn Pressnell of Lexington, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
