Leonard Brooks

Leonard (Lanny) Hamilton Brooks age 73 of Thomasville passed away Sunday July 19, 2020 at his home.

A private funeral Service will be  Wednesday July 22,2020  at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel and will be streamed live on the Davidson Funeral Home Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome/

Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Lanny was born December 8, 1946 in Davidson County to Thomas Henry Brooks and Edith Adilce Snyder Brooks. He retired from Randolph County Schools. His parents and first wife Carol Shuler Brooks preceded him in death. Also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Efrid.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Norman Brooks of the home; his step son, Michael Wishon of Thomasville and a step daughter, Connie Johnson of Georgia; his brother, Phillip (Donald) Brooks of Bryson City. Also surviving are two step grandchildren and one step great grandchild, five nieces and one nephew.
