Leonard Davis

April 15, 1942 — November 23, 2022

Charles Leonard Davis, 80, of Burler St, died Wednesday, November 23 at Hinkle Hospice House.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, December 1st at Davidson Funeral Home.

A private service will follow at a later date.

Mr. Davis was born April 15, 1942 in Davidson County to Elmer Gray Davis, Sr. and Willie Veigh Leonard Davis.  He was the former co-owner of Brothers II, a men’s clothing business with locations in Lexington, High Point, and Reynolda Village in Winston Salem. He attended First United Methodist Church and his brother, E. Gray Davis, Jr, preceded him in death.

Leonard was one of a kind, a character, full of life but with a kind and compassionate heart. He was a lover of classic boats, classic cars his Harley Davidson motorcycle and steam trains. He was most at home and content on the water in his  boat where he coined one of his many sayings, ‘You just can’t beat fun!’  He loved travel, Paris always being the favorite, and a good adventure. He was known throughout his  life to randomly proclaim a ‘Do anything you want to day!’ And then he did just that! If you we’re lucky enough to be included, you were in for a treat! He was the Grandaddy who brought the best toys and there was never  a dull moment when he was around. He will be missed more than we can imagine!

He is survived by his daughter, Amy Davis Siceloff and husband, Daniel, of Lexington; his grandchildren, Charles Gray Hedrick, Kate Davis Hedrick and Casey Jane Siceloff;  his brothers, John Davis and Lee Davis, and multiple nieces and nephews.

May the road rise to meet you……..and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

The family would like to especially thank Lynette Kearns, for  the compassionate care, support and love she showed him until the very end.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way , Lexington NC 27292.
