Leroy Lemly

Leroy Lemly, 94, of Southmont, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Rowan Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, September 10, at Jersey Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Batson officiating. Burial will follow at Jersey Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home.

Mr. Lemly was born May 31, 1927, in Randolph County to Artless Garland Lemly and Dovie Annie Warfford Lemly. He was a member of Jersey Baptist Church. His parents; one son, Junior; one daughter, Christine “Punkin” Buie; long-time companion, Margaret Hedrick, and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Jeff Buie (Cassie) of Denton and Wendy Buie of Denton; three great-grandchildren, Payton, Natalie, and Dalton; and one brother, Carl Lemly (Margaret).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Baptist Children’s Homes of NC P.O. Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27361.
