Leslie Elizabeth Crater Beasley, age 64, of Old Thomasville Road, loving mother, grandmother, and the love of Jimmy’s life and his reason for living, passed away Sunday June 16, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after 8 months of declining health.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel by the Revs. Jonathan Robbins and Chuck Ireson. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
Leslie was born on October 3, 1948 in Forsyth County to Clarence (Bill) and Ophelia Smith Crater. She was retired from Murray Supply and attended The Summit Church. She was affectionately known as “Moma Beasley” to many.
She is survived by her mother of Winston-Salem; her husband of 45 years James (Jimmy) W. Beasley III; sons Jamie Beasley (Frances) of Lexington and Jay Beasley (Tracie) of Winston-Salem; a twin brother, Wesley Crater of Clemmons; a sister Brenda Pass of Winston-Salem and four grandchildren, Ashley, Gracie, Jaxson and Jesse.
