Born in Hopewell, Virginia, on July 28, 1942, Leslie was the son of the late Leslie Bailey Hall Sr. and Virginia Sublett Hall. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy, a time that helped shape his strong work ethic and steadfast spirit. Following his service, Leslie built a successful career and eventually retired from Interstate Brands, having worked many years as manager and route salesman, where he was known for his dedication and leadership.
Leslie was a man who cherished the simple joys of life. He was an avid outdoorsman with a deep love for bass fishing and hunting, passions that brought him both peace and adventure. His presence was steady, his humor quick, and his devotion to family unwavering.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sharon Tomlin and sisters, Lois, Peggy and Teresa. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Norena Atkinson Hall; his sons, Shawn Hall and Troy Hall "Jaime"; daughters Leslie Bazemore (Joey), Michelle Hall, and Kimberly Nichols (George); his brother, Steve; and his sisters, Lorraine, Barbara, and Patricia. Leslie was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to many, and his legacy of love and strength will live on through each of them.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity or to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
Leslie’s life was a testament to faith, family, and quiet resilience. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
