Lewis Walter Bruff

Lewis “Buddy” Walter Bruff, 76, of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Open Door Baptist Church.

Mr. Bruff was born in Davidson County on January 20, 1944, to Lewis Meritan Bruff and Daphne Mae Lanning Bruff. He was a retired loading operator for Cemex and was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. Mr. Bruff was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Jean Ashby; and two brothers in-law, Jack Louie and Walter Thompson.

Lewis is survived by his loving wife, Betty Gail Ashby Bruff of the home; sons, Walter Kim Bruff (Nancy) and Lewis Clinton Bruff (Patti); sisters, Joann Loyua, Betty Thompson, and Sarah Ann Hunt (Raymond); brother in-law, Robert “Bobby” Ashby; grandchildren, Savannah Sigafoos, Adam Bruff, and Levi Bruff; and two great grandchildren.
