Lewis Osben Jackson

Lewis Osben Jackson, 79, of Helmstetler Road, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at his home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Glenn Sanford. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Jackson was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Rowan County to Osben Jackson and Flossie Holder Jackson. A retired manager for Motor Parts Co. after 37 years of service, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church, American Legion Post 162, Reeds, Masonic Lodge 473, Scottish Rite, Charlotte and Oasis Temple, Charlotte. His daughter, Lee Ann Jackson, preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Lenora Swicegood Jackson of the home, and one brother, Phil Jackson and his wife, Carol, of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be directed to Westside Baptist Church Building Fund, 150 Charles Ave., Lexington, NC 27295 or to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O. Box 1941, Lexington, NC 27293.
