Lewis "Marty" Victor Martin Jr.

Lewis Victor “Marty” Martin, Jr. age 62 of West Old US Highway 64, Lexington passed away Monday morning at Salem Terrace in Winston Salem.  A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday the 26th at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington chapel with Rev. J. C. Miles officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm prior to the service.  Marty was born September 28, 1954 in Woodbury County, Iowa to Lewis Victor Martin, Sr. and Joyce Elda Utter Martin. He was Senior Programmer for Wilson Cook Medical in Winston Salem; a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as Treasurer, a greeter, usher and served on numerous boards.  Surviving are his wife, Janice Wicker Martin of the home; son, Bret Curry Martin of Lexington; father and mother, Lewis and Joyce Martin of Salem, Virginia; sisters, Joyce Elaine Creed (Randy) and Diana Thomas (Randall) all of Roanoke, Virginia; brother Doug Martin (Kathy) of Christiansburg Va.; nieces Rebekah Martin, Holly Landry and Amanda Creed; and nephew Dennis Landry.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
