Lewis "Michael" Weaver, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19th, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on Wednesday, July 17th, 1946, in North Carolina, Michael was a lifelong resident of Lexington, NC, where he touched the lives of many with his kindness, dedication, and love for nature. Michael dedicated many years to his craft as an upholsterer at Clyde Pearson Upholstery, where his skilled hands and meticulous attention to detail earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike. A testament to his dedication and service to others. Outside of work, Michael was a man of varied interests. Michael was a dedicated lifetime member of New Jerusalem Reformed Church. He was an avid deer hunter, finding peace and joy in the great outdoors. His love for Texas Longhorn cows was well-known among his family and friends, they gave him immense happiness over the years. Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis Dean Davis Weaver, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. He leaves behind cherished memories with his daughter, Dee Weaver Watkins, and her husband Keith. Michael was a doting grandfather to Keegan and wife Akina, Briar Watkins and a loving great-grandfather to Malia Watkins. His brother, Barry Weaver, and wife Kathy, niece; Nora Weaver, nephew; Carl Weaver also mourn his loss. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Walter Weaver and Mabel Weaver, whose love and values he carried throughout his life. Family and friends will gather at 2:00 pm to celebrate Michael's life at a funeral service on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Rev. Tony Varner officiating. Following the service, Michael will be laid to rest at New Jerusalem Reformed Church Cemetery 4104 Jerusalem Church Rd. Lexington, NC 27292. The family will welcome visitors an hour prior to the service, offering a time to share memories and support one another. Michael Weaver will be fondly remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering commitment to his family, and the legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Michael was a dedicated life time member of New Jerusalem Reformed Church.
