Lewis Weisner

October 12, 1926 — January 7, 2007

Lewis Milton Weisner, 80, of Ridge Road, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after several years of declining health. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethesda United Methodist Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Doug Hochmuth. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Weisner was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Guilford County to Arthur N. Weisner and Clara Hege Weisner. He was a retired employee of Davis Chevrolet and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Edna Everhart Weisner of the home; one son, David L. Weisner and his wife, Wanda, of Charlotte; two daughters, Barbara Flynt of Thomasville and Karen Leonard and her friend, Chuck Hundley, of Lexington; two grandchildren, Joy Hyde of Oxford and Dana Flynt of High Point; one great-grandchild, Ryan Hyde of Oxford; and two sisters, Ruth Everhart of Lexington and Lillian Gabriel of Greensboro. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home.
