Libby Coltrane Sink

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Coltrane “Libby” Sink, 83, of W. 1st Avenue, died Tuesday, March 15 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Friday, March 18 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Larry Lyon.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Libby was born July 5, 1938 in Davidson County to Edgar Ray Coltrane and Mary Elizabeth Brady Coltrane. A lifelong resident of Lexington, she attended Lexington City Schools, Duke University and High Point College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Libby was active in her community as a member of the Charity League, and volunteering with Family Services of Davidson County and the Empty Stocking Fund. Her husband, Joe Sink, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Elizabeth Prevette and husband Jimmy of Apex; her son, Joseph S. Sink III of Lexington; her brother, Tim Coltrane and wife, Suzanne, of Lexington; her sister, Linda Long and husband, Ed, of Jacksonville, FL; her grandchildren, Aaron Prevette and wife Kristen, Dylan Prevette and wife Hya and Nathan Prevette; and her great-grandchildren, Jake Prevette, Aubrey Prevette, and Oaklee Prevette.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the donor’s choice.
