Lila Kiger

Lila Mae Hollman Kiger, 84, a resident of Lexington, went home to be with her Lord Monday, January 31, 2022 at Alston Brook Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Davidson County on August 12, 1937 to the late William Lee and Eliza Wood Hollman. She volunteered as a receptionist at Lexington Memorial Hospital for many years. Lila was a faithful member of Lexington Church of God where she taught Sunday school for over 35 years. She was a classy lady who dressed elegantly, was a great cook, and loved to spend time with her friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Kiger; a son, David Todd Kiger, brothers, Herman, Glenn, Tony, and Darrell Hollman; and sisters, Betty Everhart and Lois Young.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Lexington Church of God. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Friday evening from 6-8PM at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. Lila is survived by her grandchildren, Caleb Kiger of Concord and Courtney Tatum (Kyle) of Greensboro  ; sisters, Margaret Thompson, Barbara Luck, and JoAnn Porter, all of Lexington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
