Lillian Boone, a beloved resident of Lexington, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on February 28, 1933, in North Carolina, Lillian lived a life devoted to her family and community. A dedicated homemaker, Lillian's home was a place filled with warmth, love, and hospitality. She had a nurturing spirit and a generous heart, always welcoming family and friends with open arms. Her gentle nature and selfless acts of kindness left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Lillian was preceded in death by her loving parents, James Frank Barney and Grace Allen Barney, her devoted husband, Willie Henry Boone Jr., as well as her siblings Melvin Barney, Marie Beck, Lucille Lampley, and Elsie Myers, daughter in-law; Sherry Boone. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her family, cherished by her son Kenny Scott Boone and daughter Tina Byrd "Rusty." Her presence will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Lauren Boone Johnson, Matthew Boone, and Douglas Rish, and her brother, George Barney. Each held a special place in her heart and was blessed by her unwavering love and guidance, great grandchildren; Gracie, Kamden and Kemper. A funeral service to celebrate Lillian's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Pastor Randy Foster officiating. Following the service, the family will accompany Lillian to her final resting place at Forest Hill Memorial Park, honoring her life and legacy. In lieu of formal visitation, the family invites friends and loved ones to share their condolences and memories at the service. Lillian's life exemplified the beauty of simplicity and the strength of quiet devotion, leaving behind a heritage of love that will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
