Lillian Everhart Joyner

October 9, 1922 — August 4, 2011

Lillian Alma Everhart Joyner, age 88 of Welcome Bethesda Rd., Lexington went home to be with the Lord August 4, 2011 in Lexington  Health Care.   A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 6, 2011 in  Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Zimmerman and Rev. David Purdy officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home and other times at the home of the daughter, Martha Hill, Black Dairy Rd., Lexington.   Mrs. Joyner was born October 9, 1922 in Davidson County to Bryan Jennings Everhart and Isabelle Hunt Everhart.  She was a retired employee of PPG and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death was her husband, Henry Woodson  Joyner July 17, 1997, a son, Henry Woodson Joyner, Jr., a grandson, Franklin Randall (Randy)  Hill, great granddaughter, Olivia Nichole Everhart and three brothers.   Surviving are 4 daughters, Martha Hill and husband, Randall, Jackie Greene all of Lexington,  Pat Zimmerman and husband, Rev. Eddie of Bristol, Tennessee, Judy Carol  Everhart  and husband, Ronald of Lexington,  9 grandchildren, Kim Hill, Tony Greene and his wife, Lori, Jennifer Greene all of Lexington, Jason Greene and his wife, Shannon, Gary Wayne Joyner and his wife, Tracy all of Thomasville, SherryThomas and her husband, Danny, Pam Lewis and her husband, Michael all of Bristol, Tennessee.  Amanda Carroll and Rodney Everhart both of Copperas Cove, Texas; 15 great grandchildren, Kirston Greene , Rusty Greene both of Lexington, Cullan Greene, Mallorie Greene, Keaton Greene, Sam Hill, Cody Joyner, Robby Joyner and Holly Joyner all of Thomasville, Seth Thomas, Shane Thomas, Ashley Clark, Ana Clark, Amber Smith and her husband, David all of Bristol, Tennessee, Rose Everhart of Copperas Cove, Texas; one great great grandchild, Avery Smith of Bristol, Tennessee, and several Nieces and Nephews.   Memorials may be directed to Beulah United Church of Christ, 2828 Arnold Rd., Lexington, NC 27295   A special thanks to Lexington Health Care for the their many kindnesses shown to Mrs. Joyner and her family.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
