Lillian Phillips Simmerson, 80, of N. N.C. Highway 150, brief resident of Lexington Health Care, died Monday, January 28, 2008, at the home of her daughter on Burbank Drive.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Gary Foster.
Mrs. Simmerson was born March 1, 1927, in Davidson County, to Cletus Phillips and Maude Michael Phillips. She was retired from Mid State Tile. Mrs. Simmerson enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Eugene Perryman and grandson, Sean Simmerson.
Surviving are her husband, Samuel Simmerson of the home; sons, Jimmy “Fuzzy” Phillips and wife, Judy, of Lexington, and David Simmerson of Oklahoma; daughters, Linda Perryman of Reeds, and Tina Johnson of Lexington; and grandchildren, Carla, Daniel and Wesley.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of the daughter, 209 Donna Drive.
