Lillian Hartley Warfford

Lillian Hartley Warfford, 87, of Lexington, died Monday February 19, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday February 24, 2018 at Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Billy Person and Rev. Franklin Myers officiating services. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday at Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Warfford was born May 19, 1930 in Davidson County to Clarence Gilbert Hartley and Mamie Leonard Hartley. She was preceded in death by her husband John Voils Warfford, a son Johnny Warfford; a daughter, Debbie Warfford; sisters, Dora Crook, Flora Shaw and Mildred Wampler, and one brother Olden Hartley Surviving is a daughter, Sherry Penninger; a sister Elsie Wagner; 3 grandchildren, Chad Penninger and wife Lori, Michael Penninger and wife Silvia, and Kelly Musgrave and husband Clyde; 6 great-grandchildren, Charlan Sams, Kelty Beam, Nelson Beam; Brian Penninger, Madison Musgrave and Amber Penninger; and 2 great great-grandchildren, Ellison Sams and Barrett Sams.
