Lillie Moore Leonard

Lillie Moore Leonard, 80, of Leonard Wade Lane, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at Hinkle Hospice House following three weeks of declining health. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Highway 64, Lexington. where she was a member, with the Revs. Wayne Knight and Wade Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times a the home. Mrs. Leonard was born November 23, 1931, in Cabarrus County, to Clarence Marvin Moore and Sarah Janie Helms Moore. She had worked at Duracell Battery and retired from Edgewood Apparel Manhattan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Leonard who died in 2005. Surviving are son, Billy Joe Leonard and wife Christy of Lexington; grandchildren, Jason Leonard and Jessica Leonard, both of Lexington; brothers, Bobby Moore and wife Diane of Rockwell, Charles Moore and wife Frances of Salisbury, and Donald Moore and wife Shirley of Landis; and sister, Peggy Kelly and husband Jimmy of Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
