Lin Sear, 100, of Davidson County, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family.
A service to honor Lin’s life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.
Born on January 10, 1926, in Cambodia, Lin was known throughout her life as a true servant, a woman whose generous spirit and boundless compassion touched all who knew her. With a heart that would do anything for anyone, she became a pillar within both the Cambodian community in Lexington and in her homeland of Cambodia, offering her time, care, and wisdom freely. She was the beloved matriarch not only of her family, but of the broader community she so faithfully nurtured. Lin found great joy in gardening, tending to her flowers with dedication and pride well into her 99th year. Her deep devotion to the Buddhist faith was a guiding force in her life, and she instilled its values of compassion, humility, and service within her family and community, leaving a lasting legacy of love and faith.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.
Left to carry on her light are her children, Neang Sann, Sam Sann, Pha Sann, Deung Sann, Pann S. Vay, and Porn Sann; a close nephew, Heng LaKoy; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
