Linda Mae Hege Applebee age 67, went to be with the Lord after a battle with lung cancer on Wednesday February 10, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday February 14, 2010 at Maple Grove Church of the Brethren with Mark Craddock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel other times at the home of the daughter.
Miss Applebee was born July 17, 1942 in Davidson County to Connie Lee Hege and Thelma Waller Hege. She was a homemaker and a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Bentley of Winston Salem, Sons; Michael Applebee and wife Michelle of Lexington, Steven Applebee and wife Kathy of Winston Salem. Brothers, David Hege and wife Evonne of Franklinville, Larry Hege and wife Joyce of China Grove. Sister, Rhonda Koontz of Lexington, Uncle, Lawrence Waller of Greensboro, Grandchildren, Stacy Applebee, Stephanie Applebee, Tanner Bowles, Kelby Bentley, Beverly Bentley, Jace Applebee, Jon Applebee.

The family wants to thank the dedicated & caring staff at Forsyth Medical Center and at the Derrick L. Davis Regional Cancer Ctr. in Winston Salem. Davis Regional Cancer Center for their compassion and love shown to mom through out the years. It has been a comfort to the family knowing her care was provided by these special doctors.
