Linda Beck Wood

Linda Leigh Beck Wood, 80, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at her home.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 27, at Grace Alliance Church on Burkhart Rd. Lexington.

Linda was born June 15, 1943, to Paul Irvin Beck and Marilyn Ivester Beck in Davidson County.  She went to North Davidson High School and one year of business college. She married her husband David on August 24, 1962.  She loved music and playing the keyboard.  She loved the ocean and looking for seashells.  She was a long time member of Grace Alliance Church and sang in the choir.  She also enjoyed outings with her senior group.  Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband David Henry Wood Jr., brothers; Richard Beck and Steve Beck, and sons-in-law, Hersey Stevens and Eric Newcomb.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Justin Dean Wood (Stephanie), her daughters; Lori Alison Wood Stevens, Becky Lyn Wood Wing (David), Lisa Leigh Wood Newcomb (Eric), 9 grandchildren; Courtney Winge (David), Hannah Green (Eric), Chasity Bean, Billy Bean, Timothy Bean, Lee Everhart, Melissa Hibbett, Erica Newcomb, and Jack Newcomb, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
