God called another angel home. Linda Lee Koonts Garren, age 74 of Arnold Road, Lexington passed away Friday afternoon November 4, 2016 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday November 7, 2016 at Pauls Chapel Evangelical Reformed Church where she was a member with the Rev. Aaron Long, Pastor Clyde Akers, and Pastor Bud Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Linda was born in Davidson County December 14, 1941 to Charlie P. Koonts, Sr. and Bessie Allie Perryman Koonts. She was retired from Byrd Motor Lines and was a dedicated volunteer at Lexington Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth E. Garren in 2006, and a sister Dorothy K. Pittman. Surviving are her sons, Scott E. Garren and C. Chad Garren (Malinda) all of Lexington; grandchildren, Timothy Moody, Zack Garren, Seth Arthur, Courtney Garren and Shana Waitman; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Brenda K. Potts and Pheba K. Hall both of Lexington; brothers, Charlie Koonts, Jr. and Jimmy E. Koonts (Susan) both of Lexington; sister-in-laws, Shirley G. Truitt of Fayetteville; Virginia “Jennie” Stanford of Stanley and Bonnie Stokes of Ivins, Utah; a host of nieces and nephews as well as many special friends that were very dear to her.
