Linda Swicegood Jones

Linda Sue Swicegood Jones, 78, of Clayton NC, passed away Sunday October 24, 2021 at Bellarose Nursing and Rehab in Garner North Carolina.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 pm Friday October 29, 2021 at Tyro United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Foster officiating services. Committal services will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Friday at Tyro Methodist Church.

Mrs. Jones was born May 21, 1943 in Rowan County to Harvey Hoyle Swicegood and Virginia Sue Swicegood Swicegood. Linda was formerly employed with Energy United and a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed Camping, Reading, and Knitting. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carol Jones Hunt and a brother, Bobby Ervin Swicegood.

Surviving is her husband, Wayne Lee Jones of Clayton NC; two daughters, Cathy Jones Davis (William) of Danville VA. and Karen Little of Clayton NC; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
