Linda Joyce Sizemore Hege

Linda Joyce Sizemore Hege, 65, of Ridge Road, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, October 7, 2013, surrounded by her family at her home. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2013, at Center Point Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Barry Surratt officiating. There will be a private burial. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. Mrs. Hege was born October 27, 1947, in Haywood County, to Uless Carl Lee Sizemore and Irene Clark Sizemore. She was a 1966 graduate of East Davidson High School, former employee of Mallory Battery, and secretary of Gilmer Hege Jr. Construction. She was an inspiration to her community and beyond touching lives spiritually with her humor as a member of the Sunshine Sisters; she was an avid gardener and enjoyed shopping with her sisters. Surviving are her loving husband of 47 years, Gilmer Lee “Mutt” Hege Jr. of the home; sons, Justin Hege and wife Holly of Lexington and Tony Dale Morgan; grandchild, Chase Daley; brother, Jerry Sizemore of Tyro; and sisters, Barbara Salois, Carolyn Mize and husband Murel, all of Lexington, and Jill Parkin of Winston-Salem.
