Linda Kay Hege

Linda Kay Hartley Hege, age 77, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at Abbotts Creeks Center.

A funeral service will be 2 pm Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Road, Winston-Salem, NC with Rev. Beverly Fulbright officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Mausoleum. The family will receive family and friends from 12 noon to 2 pm, at the funeral home prior to service.
Mrs. Hege was born May 31, 1942, Davidson County, to Robert Dalton Hartley and Virginia Barber Hartley. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Ader. Linda was a bank teller at Lexington State Bank and later immersed herself in volunteer work at Operation Christmas Child, Pastor’s Pantry and Baptist Children’s Home.

Surviving are her husband, Jim Hege of the home; sons, Michael Ingalls (Malinda); Ronny Hege (Paula), and Gerry Hege (Donna Marie); daughter Renee Brock (Jason), brothers Andy Hartley (Kitty), Larry Hartley (Charlene), sisters Jean Pickett and Ann Thomas.Two grandchildren, Jessica Ingalls, Sierra Brock and a great grandchild, Kaia Ingalls.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Operation Christmas Child, 801 Bamboo Road, Boone, NC 28607.
